and his husband Dustin Lance Black celebrated the arrival of their second child together.
The 28-year-old Olympic diver and his spouse, 48, announced their surprise baby news on Wednesday, April 5.

News of Tom and his partner’s latest addition was shared in with a statement that announced their second son, Phoenix Rose, was born on March 28
It read: ‘Black-Daley on 28th March to Thomas Robert Daley and Dustin Lance Black, a son, Phoenix Rose’.
After tying the knot in May 2017 at Bovey Castle in Devon, the couple welcomed their first child – a – via surrogacy one year later on June 27, 2018.
The Olympian revealed they had decided to use an American surrogate because surrogates and parents were not afforded the same legal rights as they were in the U.S.
He explained at the time: ‘We looked into it in the UK and in the US.
‘In the UK it’s a lot more complicated because surrogates aren’t as well protected legally, intended parents aren’t protected legally, it’s just not safe, there’s a lot of hurdles to have to jump over.
‘In the US, everything is regulated in a way that keeps everyone safe and in the US the surrogacy process is a lot more streamlined’.
The star also shared that he and his husband were keen to have a child together to carry on their lineage after both experienced losing loved ones.
He told Giovanna Fletcher on her podcast in May 2022: ‘Lance and I […] had lost so many people in our families and there was something about surrogacy that we were drawn to that just meant that we could pass on the people that we’d lost, their genes and their thoughts, their feelings, their personalities and being able to bring someone into the world, that felt so extremely special’.
Tom has also spoken openly about the challenges of having a child as a same sex couple.
He noted that he wanted to have more children with his husband – who is 20 years his senior – so that his son could have a sibling.
