Tom Daley’s husband, screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, is facing a trial after being accused of attacking a TV presenter in a nightclub last year.
The Oscar-winner, 48, appeared in court on Thursday, where he denied the allegation.
Black was said to have allegedly thrown a drink over presenter and events promoter Teddy Edwardes, 32, during an altercation at a Soho hotspot.
He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today via videolink, where he pleaded not guilty to assaulting Miss Edwardes by beating on August 18, 2022.
The director and writer also gave his address as Los Angeles.
He has since been released on unconditional bail, with a trial date set for August 8, as per .
Black had reportedly called the police after getting into an altercation with Miss Edwardes at Freedom, where he was on a date with his Olympic diver husband, 28.
