Warning: Spoilers for Top Boy season 2 finale!
season 2 viewers are convinced Jamie (Micheal Ward) is dead after being shot at close range by Sully (Kane Robinson) in jaw-dropping finale scenes.
Theconcluded with Sully brutally firing three bullets at the gang leader, who was then left bleeding out in the hallway of his flat.
The heartless assault took place just moments after Jamie had sat down for dinner with his two brothers, Stef (Araloyin Oshunremi) and Aaron (Hope Ikpoku Jnr).
As Stef began clearing the table, his older sibling, Jamie, headed through the apartment to open the front door, only to be met by two bullets.
Jamie instantly collapsed on the floor, with Sully staring at his body as blood sept into the carpet.
Stef ran to see the commotion, making eye contact with Sully, who then fired his gun at his victim for the third time.
As soon as the attacker exited the property, Stef and his brother Aaron cried out and ran towards Jamie.
‘Jamie! Wake up!’ Stef was heard screaming, while Aaron shouted: ‘Jamie, look at me! Look at me. Wake up, please! Jamie!’
Viewers were in disbelief by the startingly tragic scenes, and many believe there’s not a chance Jamie will have survived.
‘I’m mad as hell Sully Ki**ed Jamie,’ one fumed, while another wrote: ‘Damn Sully Ki**ed my favorite character Jamie, nahh Sully’s gotta [go] next.’
A third asked: ‘Wait a sec.. did Sully really kill Jamie,? Like is Jamie really dead???’
Top Boy has not yet been confirmed for another season, so whether fans will get answers regarding Jamie’s fate remains up in the air… for now.
Either way, we’re holding out hope.
