Towie star Danielle Armstrong has announced she has welcomed her second child with husband Tommy Edney.
The reality TV star, 35, who also shares three-year-old daughter Orla with Tommy, broke the joyful news on her Instagram account on Thursday.
Revealing her bundle of joy’s gender, she captioned the post: ‘Orla got her wish… It’s a girl.’
Danielle also shared a picture of herself beaming in a hospital bed with Tommy next to her wearing scrubs, with her baby daughter swaddled in blankets.
Her fellow Towie stars, including Ferne McCann, flooded her comments with support, with the 32-year-old writing: ‘Baby girl I am so proud of you both. Love her already. What a girl gang we have.’
Love Island’s Cara Delahoyde-Massey commented: ‘Congrats she’s beautiful ❤️,’ while Celebrity Big Brother housemate Casey Batchelor penned: ‘Aww huge congratulations. Welcome to the girl gangs ??.’
Danielle revealed she was with a clip on social media – admitting she took not one, but three tests to confirm she was expecting.
‘Three pregnancy tests, I wasn’t sure,’ she laughed in a heartfelt video soundtracked to an acoustic version of ’s My Love.
It was just last year that Danielle admitted she had fears over whether she would fall pregnant again after being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2018 when she was in another relationship.
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tube.
Speaking to Fabulous magazine, she said: ‘I remember walking out of that appointment and I was sitting in the car park just crying on my own.
‘It wasn’t like I was going to be trying for a baby any time soon, but it was in the back of my mind — what if I meet the person I want to have children with and it’s not possible?
‘I had always wanted to be a mum and if that had been taken away from me because of this condition it would have been awful.’
Danielle married Tommy in August 2022 and the couple welcomed first child Orla in May 2020.
Towie is available to stream on ITVX.
