Trey Songz has been cleared in his Las Vegas sexual assault case,

The singer – real name Tremaine Aldon Neverson – was accused of misconduct while celebrating his birthday in Vegas in November.

A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Department told Metro.co.uk: ‘The LVMPD has concluded the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Tremaine Neverson and determined that no criminal charges will be filed.

‘If any new evidence comes to light, the case will be reopened for further investigation.’

The musician’s attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, : ‘We are pleased that Trey Songz has been cleared of wrongdoing and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigation has officially been closed.’

They continued: ‘We are grateful to the LVMPD for the professional police work done and their thorough investigation, which included findings of inconsistency in witness testimony and insufficient evidence. We are pleased that Trey can now return to what he does best, entertaining.’

According to , the Bottoms Up hitmaker was in Nevada in November to celebrate his 37th birthday, and headed to Drai’s Nightclub.

The publication reported he returned to the hotel with his entourage and a group of women after their night out.

A LVMPD spokesperson told Metro.co.uk at the time: ‘On November 28, 2021, the LVMPD received a report of a sexual assault incident alleged to have occurred at a hotel in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, involving Tremaine Neverson.

‘The incident is being investigated by LVMPD sex crimes detectives. Neverson is cooperating with the investigation.’
