Multiple swatting incidents from last year have forced ’s xQc to temporarily move back to Canada.

It’s only temporary but Twitch streamer Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has moved back to his home country of Canada. He hasn’t said how long he intends to stick around, only tweeting ‘Back in Canada for a little while.’

His fans, however, believe it’s for far more serious reasons than simply being in between moving houses and is n fact because he’s been doxxed.

While he may be one of the most popular and , not everyone is a fan of xQc. He drew a lot of ire for his actions while taking part in , for example.

Doxxing (the leaking of private information such as home addresses) has resulted in ‘’ incidents where police get sent to peoples’ houses under false pretences. In the past, this has led to the victims getting seriously injured and .

While xQc has been fortunate enough to have not been hurt in these doxxing incidents, it’s happened multiple times.

Throughout the course of 2021, he claims to have experienced . It became so regular that he came up with a codeword he could give to the squad that showed up to let them know that things were okay, and his streams wouldn’t be disrupted.

At the time, he admitted to being fearful for his life and wanting to . One time, a man , specifically looking for him, but he was thankfully staying elsewhere at the time.

It’s believed that, given how unsafe he’s felt, he’s been renting Airbnbs recently, instead of staying at his own properties.

This is ultimately all the hearsay of fans but certainly believable given last year’s repeated incidents. Regardless, xQc is carrying on and is even promising better streaming schedules. Hopefully, he’ll be able to do them in peace going forward.
