streamer Trainwreckstv won a huge sum of money by betting against the odds on several matches.
Trainwreckstv has been one of the top-earning slot streamers on Twitch for a few years now, usually competing for first place with fellow creator Roshtein.
However, after Twitch announced its on the streaming of chance-based gambling games, such as slots, he’s turned to sports betting, which is still allowed.
He was one of the first streamers to call out Twitch for the ban, as he claimed the blame should fall on those who promote a ‘false reality’ and not gambling itself.
In fact, he often includes his losses in his livestreams, though this time his insane win of over £1.3 million was the highlight of his most recent activity.
Trainwreckstv decided to place big wagers on a few matches of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, which kicked off on November 20.
His bets were more complicated than usual, as he had to get four correct results in a row to avoid losing around £20,000 in bitcoin that he had gambled.
Trainwreckstv somehow managed to pull off this feat and correctly predicted that Saudi Arabia would beat Argentina with a 2-1 score – which was a very unlikely result.
His next bet was just as risky, as he predicted draws between Denmark vs. Tunisia and Mexico vs. Poland. Fortune favoured the bold once again, with Poland’s goal machine Robert Lewandowski missing a penalty that cost his team the win.
Trainwreckstv’s winning streak ended with another correct prediction, as France managed to beat Australia 4-1, despite the latter team taking the lead early in the match.
Even though Trainwreckstv was tempted to cash out his winnings early, he ended up waiting out all the matches and winning a huge sum of money.
Once he secured his winnings, he reminded his viewers to avoid gambling as much as possible and even threw in the quote ‘all gambling is losing.’
His attitude towards gambling hasn’t spared him from online drama, as he’s often criticised by fellow streamers for his actions.
A clip of him Twitch staff also went viral a few months ago, which led many to suspect that he was receiving special treatment from the platform.
