Speaking in a new interview, the star explained: ‘I’ve just spent 17 years with a man 10 years younger, so I’m considering not dating a younger man now.’
Vanessa was explaining her decision to sign up for Celebs Go Dating.
As for what she’s looking for in a new partner, the doting mum added to : ‘Someone I can trust would be good and someone who meant what they said.
‘I think it would be lovely to have somebody you could actually trust.’
The star has been and the huge change it’s been for her, as she and the 50-year-old Phats & Small singer were engaged.
Ahead of returning to the dating scene on Celebs Go Dating, alongside the likes of Love Island star Chloe Burrows, Vanessa has shared the impact the split had on her, also telling the outlet: ‘I’ve been so hurt, crushed and dismayed and worried about the future.
‘I will continue to believe that there are good people out there who mean what they say and say what they mean. I hope I’m not naïve and stupid by being optimistic.’
It comes after posting a clip to social media.
‘Oh em ge,’ she began, relatable as ever.
‘Going off on my first date for Celebs Go Dating. I haven’t been on a date for 17 years so just imagine how I’m feeling.
‘I can’t even find the words to describe it and I’m good at words, so I don’t know.
‘But that is where I’m going this morning and I’m wishing you all a lovely, lovely Friday.’
