Talking about his Masked Singer experience with host Joel Dommett, he said: ‘You know what’s weird, being in this costume all day. I’ve lost more weight in this than I did on I’m A Celebrity. I think I lost five stone.’
When Davina asked whether his wife and Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly knew about his cameo on the show, Vernon added: ‘No they’re watching this as we’re doing this.

Elsewhere during the star-studded spectacular, This Morning hun Alison Hammond was unveiled as Witchetty Grub and brought the house down with her cover of M People’s Moving On Up.
Pop star Sinitta was unmasked as Kangaroo and tenor was unveiled as Cockroach.
While season four of The Masked Singer UK has yet to have a release date announced, the production company behind the programme confirmed that the show will be returning for two more seasons.
Season three began on New Year’s Day earlier this year, so we presume the next season will be landing at a similar time in early 2023.
The Masked Singer will be released on ITV and ITV Hub in the autumn.
