Vin Diesel shares official title for Fast and Furious 10 while confirming filming has already begun

has announced that filming on Fast and Furious 10 has begun, and fans are overjoyed.

Keeping it simple, the 10th movie in the franchise will be titled Fast X, and in the promo image he shared on his Instagram account, there is what appears to be a set of headlights behind the word Fast, that illustrate the stylised logo.

In the post, Diesel also revealed that filming had started, simply captioning his post ‘Day one… ??’.

The movie series started its journey two decades ago, with The Fast And The Furious franchise has since becoming one of the most successful in Hollywood history.

Led by Vin’s Dominic Toretto, the films follow street racing, heists, spies and family twists and turns, and star A-listers such as , , Djimon Hounsou and the late .

Commenting on the post, many of Vin’s fans and celebrity followers were overjoyed at the announcement.

One commented: ‘?? YES’. Model Ruby Rose added: ‘??? yes!’

The Fast Saga simply added: ‘LET’S GO?’

, Universal revealed that the series would be meeting its conclusion with the 11th film.

Both the 10th and 11th films will be shot simultaneously, with Vin saying previously that they will be shot ‘back-to-back’.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Vin wrote: ‘When the F10 script came in, it excluded Mia Toretto…. Someone whom I’ve attributed the brotherhood of Dom and Brian to… I was so disappointed that I couldn’t see how I could continue…

‘After all, I wasn’t going to make another Fast unless Brian was back in Four… I don’t need to remind you of the petitions you sent the studio for Letty’s return at the end of Five.’ 

However, Vin revealed that it was one of his daughters who pulled director Justin Lin aside for a quiet word to get Mia back in the script.

‘Side note, you will never believe who corrected the very important role of Mia… my daughter, the Alpha Angel, who told the director very plainly and honestly “NO MIA NO FAST 10!” haha,’ he said. 

‘The irony, is that the day she was born I was filming with Jordanna and Pablo and it was Jordanna who I first told… profound right?’ 

, after its slated 2020 release was delayed by the Covid pandemic.

The movie saw the gang speeding through a land-mine-infested forest and, naturally, pulling off several outlandish car stunts.
