Activision has announced the start date for Season 3 of Call Of Duty: Warzone Pacific and hints that ‘monsters are real’.

The next season of Warzone Pacific is expected to have some very big guest stars, as Activision begin to tease what leaks have seemingly already revealed: the addition of Godzilla and King Kong.

Although it’s that is most famous for adding characters from movies and wider pop culture, Call Of Duty has increasingly been doing the same, such as the addition of .

It’s already been rumoured that Godzilla and King Kong will be coming to the game but until now there’s been no evidence, but the latest trailer for Pacific Season 3 seems to provide just that.

The main purpose of the trailer below is to confirm the start date for Warzone Pacific Season 3, which is set for April 27.

The cinematic trailer talks a lot about ‘Nebula bombs’, which are Nazi superweapon the game’s been hyping up for a while now. According to the trailer though they may have’ shaken something awake’ that’s ‘more powerful and fearsome than anything we could ever hope to comprehend’.

Presumably Godzilla isn’t going to work as a normal skin (although there may be some kind of old school costume) but rather a giant threat that roams across the map.

That seems the most obvious guess as to what’s going on, as for now the only thing close to definitive proof is analysis of a special radio frequency, at the end of the trailer and on the Call Of Duty Twitter account, which .

The consensus seems to be that it says, ‘monsters are real’. On its own wouldn’t mean much, but combined with the existing Godzilla and King Kong rumours seems fairly clear.

As odd as the crossover seems at first, the current Second World War setting of Warzone is relatively close to the original Godzilla movie from 1954, although presumably he and King Kong will be based on their appearance from last year’s Godzilla vs. Kong film.

Although the ‘MonsterVerse’ movies had only been a middling success up to that point, with Godzilla vs. Kong expected to be the series’ finale, the film was much more successful than the others and a sequel will start filming later this year.
