fans far and wide, it’s time to don your most luxurious gladrags and heavenly wigs – the Queen commands your attention in her very own tale.

The new prequel spin-off series – titled – will reunite viewers with the royal played by , as well as introducing the younger version of the character through ’s stellar performance.

The release date for the and production is just around the corner, bringing with it a plethora of new members of the cast, as well as some familiar faces from the world of Bridgerton.

Newcomers include Arsema Thomas as the young Lady Danbury, Connie Jenkins-Greig as the young Violet, Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton and Corey Mylchreest as King George III in his early days.

Meanwhile, Adjoa Andoh is making her return as Lady Danbury in the present day, alongside Ruth Gemmell as Violet.

When is Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story released on Netflix?

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is due to launch on Netflix globally on Thursday May 4.

New episodes of shows on the streaming platform tend to drop at 8am in the morning BST, so if you’re going to wait until the evening to start watching the programme, make sure that you’re wary of spoilers that could pop up on social media!

How many episodes will there be?

There are going to be six episodes in total for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

While there are fewer episodes in this limited series than in previous seasons of Bridgerton, don’t fret – these instalments are going to be packed.

Ahead of the show’s release, the streaming platform revealed the titles of each chapter, as well as how long they’re going to be.

Each episode is going to be at least 50 minutes, with the penultimate episode lasting 75 minutes, and the grand finale coming in at 86 minutes – resulting in a total of more than six hours of viewing to enjoy.

Is there going to be a Bridgerton season 3?

Bridgerton season three has already wrapped filming and is on the way, with an expected release date at some point this year.

The third outing for the show will place focus on the third Bridgerton brother, Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and his complicated relationship with Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), who’s secretly also gossip maven Lady Whistledown behind the scenes.

The show has also already been renewed for a fourth season, with fans already desperate to know which Bridgerton sibling will be placed under the microscope next.

Will it be Benedict (Luke Thompson), with his love of art and frivolity? Or could it be Eloise Claudia Jessie), who befriended printing shop apprentice Theo Sharpe (Calam Lynch) in season two?
