is set to release a brand new album on Friday as his endures after 25 years.

New album XXV celebrates, after first through in the 1990s.

Featuring some of the musician’s best-loved hits, XXV sees classic tracks such as Let Me Entertain You and Millenium completely transformed and newly orchestrated.

It will also see feature some brand-new songs, including single Lost, as well as three more originals: Disco Symphony, More Than This and The World And Her Mother.

It’s a serious achievement for Robbie, having carved out a massively successful solo career following his Take That days: the star boasts seven UK number one singles and 13 number one albums, with his tracks having spent a total of 238 weeks – or four and a half years- in the top 40.

Having joined the boy band at just 16, Robbie launched his solo career six years later in 1996, starting with a cover of George Michael’s track Freedom, and the next year releasing debut album Life thru a Lens.

Robbie’s first-ever album gave us the track Angels – to this day his best-selling single, while second album I’ve Been Expecting You saw the release of Millenium. his first number one track as a solo artist, and She’s The One becoming the second.

Album number three, Sing When You’re Winning, had the likes of Rock DJ – which was an instant hit despite the famously graphic music video – and the album was certified double Platinum in its first weeks.

The star almost immediately got to work on his fourth, Frank Sinatra-inspired album Swing When You’re Winning, which included a duet with Nicole Kidman for a cover of Sinatra’s track Somethin’ Stupid.

Number five, 2002’s Escapology, saw the release of Feel, at which point Robbie released his Greatest Hits album followed by sixth album Intensive Care in 2006.

The star went a little different with his next album Rudebox, a dance album that featured collaborations with some massive names but which didn’t overly impress critics, and came back with his 2009 album Reality Ki**ed the Video Star.

Then came a second Greatest Hits album in 2010, with ninth album Take The Crown arriving in 2012 with number one hit Candy, while 2013 saw a second Swing-inspired album of covers and original songs, Swings Both Ways.

Under The Radar Volumes 1 and 2 were released in 2014 and 2016, 11th studio album The Heavy Entertainment Show also arrived in 2016, while a Christmas album, Christmas Present, arrived in 2019.

So – now that we’ve had a refresher, we have to ask… not counting the greatest Hits and compilations, which was Robbie Williams’ best album?
