Sara Barron is the wife of Geoff Barron Lloyd, an English radio host, television host, podcast host, and writer. The couple met through The Moth and have subsequently had a son.
Lloyd was born in Withington, Manchester, and grew up in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England. He worked as a paperboy, a suit salesman, and, in 1989, he began working for £1 an hour after school at a local print works.
He also began his radio career in 1991 as a traffic and travel reporter at Signal Cheshire in Stockport, where he remained until the end of 1994.
Due to his comedy and interview manner, as well as his encouragement, he credits comedian Craig Cash with having a huge impact on his career. Lloyd was employed as a runner on The Mrs. Merton Show by Cash, who also introduced him to Pete Mitchell, with whom he would spend the next ten years on the air as Pete and Geoff.
