BBC’s latest groundbreaking dating show has had everybody talking.
The first two episodes of the eight-parter launched on BBCiPlayer on Saturday May 13, and will be shown weekly on BBC3 from Sunday May 14 at 9pm.
The synopsis asks: ‘Will sparks fly from the first snog with a stranger, or will there be a kissing catastrophe?’
It also teased: They added: ‘Get ready for the UK’s first ever  dating show, where the path to love is never straight. It’s loud, it’s proud… and it all starts with a kiss.
Of course a dating show – which is fronted by Dannii Minogue – is rarely that simple, and ‘kiss-offs’ will challenge the strength of the relationships while they stay in a luxury farmhouse.
As well as plenty of drama and cliffhangers, the broadcaster has also promised ‘powerful untold stories’, ranging from coming out in a strict religious family and navigating self-acceptance to ‘the pressures of body image in the gay dating scene’ and first same sex romances.
As we get ready to see the romances unfold, here’s everything you need to know about the series narrator and the show’s romantic location
Who narrates I Kissed a Boy?
Actor Layton Williams – who came to fame playing the title role in the West End production of Billy Elliot The Musical and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie – narrates the dating show
‘I Kissed A Boy is a brand new dating show and it is the first of its kind here in the UK, which features only boys,’ the 28-year-old said.
‘It is hosted by the iconic Dannii Minogue and I narrate the show. It’s camp, it’s fabulous and it’s got a really good heart to it. There’s a lot of drama too, which we love!
‘It’s gay! It’s unapologetically gay and the first one of its kind in the UK so I’m really honoured and proud to be a part of it.’
Where is I Kissed a boy filmed?
The exact location  I Kissed a Boy was filmed hasn’t been made clear, but we know contestants were flown to a sunny countryside location in Italy with a romantic Masseria – which translates to farmhouse.
Dannii previously spoke about her excitement for the new show, saying as it was announced: ‘There are millions of people in the UK looking for love. And I believe love is for everyone,’ the singer and TV personality said.
‘So I am so thrilled for a gay dating show to be entering the sea of other dating shows that have existed on TV for years.’
Stating that she’s been ‘a staunch ally of the LGBTQ+ community for as long as I can remember’, Dannii said that her close friends would describe her dream job as ‘Cupid’.
‘So this gives me that flutter-of-love feeling inside too, just to be a part of it,’ she added. ‘Let’s hope there is love, sealed with a kiss!’
The first two episodes of I Kissed A Boy is available to stream on BBC iPlayer, and a new episode premieres Sunday May 21 at 9pm on BBC Three.
