Dancing On Ice fans will have to wait patiently for the final episode as a delay means it won’t be airing tonight.

The beloved ITV competition show, hosted by ’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, usually airs on Sundays, and there’s just one more instalment to go before the series is complete for another year.

Just three celebrities will be battling it out for the crown, with , , , and Oti Mabuse judging the contestants’ performances.

Holly will also be back alongside co-host Phil after being forced to skip the last show due to testing positive for Covid.

Here’s everything you need to know about why Dancing On Ice has been delayed and when it will be back on television screens.

Why is Dancing On Ice not on tonight?

Originally, the Dancing On Ice final was due to air this Sunday, but  to show two FA Cup quarter-final matches.

Instead, an FA quarter-final match between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool will be shown with a kick-off time of 6pm.

Mark Pougatch will be presenting ITV’s coverage of the sixth-round tie, which comes from the City Ground.

Roy Keane will provide analysis, with commentary by Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon, and reports from Gabriel Clarke.

When will Dancing On Ice return?

The final of the Dancing on Ice 2022 will take place next Sunday, March 27 at 6.30pm on ITV.

Only three celebrities remain in the competition, and they’ll be battling it out on the rink for the top spot.

Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt will be competing in the finale, after making it through the semi-final skate-off with skating partner Mark Hanretty.

She’s up against fan favourite Regan Gascoigne and his pro ice skater Karina Manta and Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer.

Dancing On Ice returns Sunday 27 March at 6.30pm on ITV.
