Following a cryptic Instagram post, fans of ‘NCIS’ are highly concerned about Wilmer Valderrama’s disappearance. Is he truly going to leave the show?
If there’s one thing that recent NCIS watchers have learned, it’s that you never know who might leave the program.
To be sure, they’ve learnt the hard way.
Nonetheless, the series has recently experienced some of the largest blowouts in its history, and fans fear they may be in for another. Is Wilmer Valderrama departing from NCIS?
Why Is Wilmer Valderrama Leaving NCIS & Where Is He Going?
Despite the fact that neither the network nor Wilmer Valderrama have announced Torres’ departure from NCIS, there are numerous signs that he has.
NCIS Special Agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres is undeniably important to the program, but no one was more important than Torres’ mentor, Mark Harmon Gibbs.
As you may know, Gibbs recently left the series, and this season has focused on the fallout and impact on Torres. After viewing the NCIS special agent in the heart-pounding situation, many fans’ imaginations soon leapt to the possibility of Torres dying in action.
This is probably more realistic when you realize how busy the actor is right now. According to sources, he’s already signed on to a Disney+ movie based on Zorro, and his production company has a lot of projects in the works.
The Meaning of Wilmer Valderrama’s Instagram Post
The rumors began when Valderrama posted on Instagram about an exciting opportunity to play Zorro in a live-action adaptation of the show for Disney Branded Television, which is now in production.
Following viewing the NCIS special agent in the heart-pounding position, several fans’ minds immediately turned to the possibility of Torres dying in action, and many of his supporters reacted, “Please don’t die.”
In addition, some astute fans have noted that Wilmer’s Instagram account isn’t mentioned in the most recent NCIS season 20 announcement. Others speculated that if the actor quit NCIS, it was to pursue other opportunities.
Wilmer Valderrama: What Happened to Him?
With CBR claiming that he wouldn’t be able to work on two projects at the same time, the Zorro potential is a highly troubling reason to fear the actor’s exit from NCIS.
They also mention that NCIS’s tight production schedule has been connected to other performers taking time off in the past.
If Wilmer has to choose, it’s tough to imagine him passing up the opportunity to play Zorro.
While no official announcement has been made on the NCIS front, the show’s administration has a habit of keeping exits hidden. All we can do now is wait and watch what happens.
