We all remember where we were when we learned a Winnie The Pooh horror movie was in the works.
Last year, it was revealed that British filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield was unleashing a true horror on the land: a movie in which A A Milne’s beloved Pooh Bear and Piglet.
Since it was 95 years since the book was first released, the copyright had run out and the characters were in the public domain, and Rhys use this opportunity to have before turning on Christopher Robin and his friends.
Though Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey when it was released, it performed well theatrically and instantly became a cult horror classic.
And we’ve now been given a first look at the sequel – featuring another beloved character twisted beyond recognition.
Tigger has now joined Pooh and Piglet in the public domain, and with a higher budget than the sequel, director Rhys was able to spend that much more on making him as terrifying as possible.
In new stills from the upcoming film, Tigger stares down the camera, snarling as blood drips from his fangs and down his chin.
A close-up shows the creature howling in either pain or pure bloodthirst, and the final snap shows him standing at full height, dressed in what looks like a ripped and bloody jumpsuit, clearly just finished with a kill and surrounded by blood and feathers.

Director Rhys previously explained to Metro.co.uk that he was inspired to make a Pooh-bear horror because he was ‘getting so bored’ with the same monster movies: ‘werewolves, zombies, vampires, ghosts, it was all getting a bit dry.’
In the original Blood and Honey, a young Christopher Robin would feed the animal-hybrid creatures Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore, but abandoned them to go to college and allowed them to starve, turning them feral – and out for revenge.
‘As the years have gone on they’ve struggled to survive,’ Rhys said.
‘Eventually, it got to the point where it was so dire and there was no food in the forest for Pooh and Piglet, and they made the tough decision to kill and eat Eeyore.’
Sorry, kids.
It’s not clear where Tigger comes into this story, but we don’t have too long to wait before we find out, with Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 slated for release in February 2024.
