superstar Sheamus has vowed to bring an intense level of physicality when he battles Gunther at .
The Celtic Warrior is chasing the Intercontinental Title – the one major prize that has eluded him in his illustrious career – in Cardiff, Wales this evening and he’s excited to get in the ring with someone notorious for his brutality.
He exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘It’s a match everyone wanted to see, it’s gonna be absolute banger, and it’s gonna be two European heavyweights knocking the absolute s***e out of each other!
‘He’s talked about chopping my chest to bits, I’m gonna basically cave his entire chest in with my beats. I won’t be holding back, put it that way!’
When we spoke one day before his huge match, the Irishman insisted he wasn’t letting himself get carried away emotionally – but it’ll be different now with just a few hours to go.
‘Right now, I’m just kinda chill and in that phase where I just get my head together,’ he added. ‘I never wanna peak too early, but tomorrow everything will fall into place mentally and everything’
Stepping into the ring with Gunther is an intimidating prospect for any wrestler, and WWE boss about the mentality getting in there with the Ring General.
‘Everybody wants to face [him] until they get chopped for the first time, I’ll tell you that! It’s the – everybody’s got a plan until you get punched in the mouth,’ he told Metro.co.uk during his time as NXT chief.
‘That chop sounds good on TV until you take the first one and then you’re starting to think, “Why did I come here again?” ‘
However, Sheamus isn’t your typical WWE superstar.
‘That’s what I want! I love the fight, I’m there for it. There’s no doubt about it, when I’m in there it’s a war and you either step in or step off. I’m all about the physicality,’ he beamed.
‘I just wanna go to war every single time I@m in that ring. Also, on top of that, the Intercontinental Title’s at stake which will make the first ever ultimate grand slam champion in WWE.’
