Brock Lesnar utterly destroyed Cody Rhodes on Raw this week in intense scenes before accepting his SummerSlam challenge.

The American Nightmare in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia and appeared emotional from the get go as he stepped out to an incredible ovation.

He was already fighting back tears as he arrived, and he immediately addressed Lesnar himself before turning to thank his mother Michelle, who was sitting at ringside.

Pivoting back to the Beast Incarnate, Cody warned that he was willing to wait all night for his rival to make sure they met face to face after he laid down a challenge for a rubber match last week.

He moved to greet his family at ringside before Brock’s music hit, but the former world champion didn’t appear, with Cody heading backstage to try and find him.

The beatdown began as a chair got through back onto the stage followed by the fan favourite, with Brock stepping out.

He attacked Cody and dragged him back towards the ringside area, hitting an F-5 right in front of his rival’s poor mum and sister, but wasn’t done.

The Kimura Lock reared its ugly head for the hero as Brock locked it in, first in front of his family and then again in the middle of the ring.

He stood tall, winking at Cody’s mother before turning his attention back to the limp body of his rival, shouting: ‘Challenge accepted. I’ll see you at SummerSlam, b***h!’

With the feud reaching boiling point and still a few weeks to go until the premium live event on August 5, it remains to be seen what lengths Brock will go to as he continues to torture his opponent.

However, there have been rumours that the next match between the two will have a special, brutal stipulation, with plenty of possibilities if WWE want to really take this to the next level.

WWE SummerSlam airs Saturday, August 5 at 1am on the WWE Network.
