Mick Foley has finally addressed the uproar after failed to give him a mention in his Hall of Fame induction speech.

The legendary Phenom was honoured last month in Dallas, Texas, and he finally broke character in front of a live crowd to speak at length about his life and career.

The speech was well received by fans, but some people were disappointed that despite referencing the likes of Triple H, Kane, Vince McMahon and more friends from his iconic run, he didn’t name drop Foley.

Naturally, the backlash reached the Hardcore Legend himself – and it turns out he wasn’t as outraged as everybody else.

Appearing on the, he said: ‘Well, listen, maybe I forgot to mention my wife during my speech. So I’m not one to lecture anybody about who they should and should not include in their speech.

‘You know, I was not there in those formative years and his speech was more about friendship and support.

‘We had a great rivalry, but he didn’t mention The Rock or [“Stone Cold” Steve Austin] and he and Austin had some classics as well. So, if I’m not hurt, no one can be hurt on behalf of me.’

That clears that up then!

Foley also opened up about the Hall of Fame ceremony as a whole, and revealed his delight as seeing his late friend Vader finally get inducted.

‘It meant a lot to me because I knew how much meant to him when he was alive and he has got a son who idolised his dad,’ he added. ‘So I always thought he was the most glaring omission and now he is his rightful place.’

When it comes to Undertaker, he and Foley go way back, with arguably their most iconic moment coming in their, when Mick – as Mankind – got thrown off the towering structure and through a table 20 feet below.

He also got sent through the roof during the same bout, and back in 2020 he admitted he was of that night.

He exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘The cell collapsing when I was chokeslammed still has fallout for me! I just paid $425 to remove my bottom flipper – which are false teeth which were knocked out in that cell – and I’ll have to pay $15,000 or so to get those teeth fixed.’
