One weekend before SummerSlam, the stars of NXT have their shot at stealing the show with The Great American Bash 2023.
The TakeOver days of the brand’s black and gold era are a thing of the past, but the stacked roster for the company’s developmental brand is doing its bit towith these standalone shows.
With four championship clashes on the main card, two grudge matches and a debut, there is a lot for fans to get excited about, with plenty of styles at play.
, Baron Corbin and Mustafa Ali provide a dash of main roster talent too, while stars of the future like Thea Hail, Roxanne Perez and Carmelo Hayes will have their chance to shine.
There’s a lot at stake, and on paper it looks like another strong event from the NXT roster.

WWE presents NXT: The Great American Bash on Sunday, July 30 with all of the action on the main card kicking off at 1am for fans in the UK.

NXT: The Great American Bash 2023 predictions
A lot of the matches are very difficult to call, with Ilja Dragunov more than deserving of the NXT Championship, but Carmelo Hayes still has more to do with the gold and is still a likely winner.
Similarly, Tiffany Stratton is just getting started, and will probably keep rolling despite the support Thea Hail is building, while Dominik Mysterio should keep the title for longer despite the Triple Threat giving WWE an easy way to get it off him onto Mustafa Ali.
However, if we’re honest, The Family’s Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo should be a shoe-in to take the tag titles from Gallus.
Roxanne Perez needs a big win and it could come at the expense of Blair Davenport in their Weapons Wild Match, while Gable Steveson will almost definitely win his debut, which would be a real shame considering the .
What’s for sure is Shawn Michaels has created an intriguing NXT card here, with no match offering a predictable result.
