Nash Carter has officially been removed from the roster days after winning the NXT Tag Team Championships.
The 27-year-old wrestler – who won the titles alongside his MSK partner Wes Lee on Saturday at Stand & Deliver – has been released by Vince McMahon’s company following allegations of domestic abuse, and a photo of him doing an impression of Adolf Hitler.
Without naming the team or referencing any other reports, WWE has said: ‘The current NXT Tag Team Champions have relinquished the titles. New champions will be crowned this Tuesday night.’
On the company’s list of champions, the titles are now noted as ‘vacant’, while Carter no longer appears on the official roster page.
Users attempting to view his profile directly are met with an error message which simply reads: ‘You are not authorized to access this page.’
Nash, real name Zachary Green, has been accused of abuse by his wife Kimberly Frankele – who wrestlers as Kimber Lee – in a series of tweets.
Alongside a photo of him appearing to make a Nazi salute while sporting a Hitler-style moustache, she wrote: ‘Just another look into the kind of person @NashCarterWWE is….@WWENXT @wwe.
‘I’ve hid so much for so long because I was so mentally abused. Not to mention the countless anti LGBTQIA+ statements him and his family make…’
Frankele, 31, also accused Green, 27, of abusing her in a number of tweets.
She wrote: ‘Hey @WWENXT this is my face after your tag champ @NashCarterWWE got wasted and hit me so hard he split my lip open.
‘He told me I’m a wrestler so I’m always marked up. I’ve hid this for a year and even forgave him. But I can’t hide it anymore.
‘You all wanted the proof. There it is. I’m sorry I backed out but he was telling me lies all weekend to get me to not say anything.”
Fightfu’s Sean Ross Sapp initially reported the release, which had been corroborated by other outlets.
The wrestler – who still appears on WWE’s website – is yet to respond to the allegations, while WWE is yet to issue a statement and the reason for his exit is unclear.
As Carter, he and Wes Lee began their second reign with the NXT Tag Team Titles after winning a Triple Threat match at Stand & Deliver.
He also appeared on Tuesday’s episode of NXT, and MSK had been set to defend their titles against Sanga and Grayson Waller on next week’s show.
Nash and Wes – who worked on the independent scene as The Rascalz’s Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Zavier – were signed by WWE in December 2020 and debuted on NXT the following both.
