delivered an eventful episode of this week, not least shaking up the women’s division with a high profile return.
It’s been three months since fans saw after weeks of vignettes showing her therapy sessions overcoming her sinister character.
She was inexplicably taken back off TV after that show in Saudi Arabia in February, with fans calling for a return ever since.
During Monday night’s show, was told she had been sacked from her management role, as Adam Pearce confirmed her position was terminated and she was back to being a competitor.
She found herself having to face a mystery opponent, which turned out to be the returning Bliss, who came out to a fantastic ovation and loud ‘welcome back’ chants from the crowd before making quick work of Deville for an emphatic win.
The show will benefit massively from having Alexa back in a high profile spot, while the end of Raw this week also proved the benefit of having a range of stories outside of the Raw Women’s Title picture.
The main event seeing the champ Bianca Belair face off against Asuka didn’t get much time at all, but it was all about the post-match drama after Becky Lynch came out and laid out the latter for the latest in a number of DQ endings.
An unhinged Big Time Becks stood over the Empress of Tomorrow, having last summer during her pregnancy announcement.
Seth Rollins costs Cody Rhodes the United States Championship, Edge changes his look and more
Raw kicked off with RK-Bro addressing the crowd and calling for a title unification match with The Usos, before they traded verbal jabs with The Street Profits ahead of their Raw Tag Team Championship clash to start the show.
When you’ve got Randy Orton, Riddle, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins in the ring, it’s always going to be a lot of fun, and that was the case here with an energetic affair as RK-Bro retained the gold.
Judgement Day hit the ring for a promo as, with the latter calling out Liv Morgan.
The Nightmare destroyed her former tag team partner in a brutal and pretty one-sided bout, ending things with her standing reverse cloverleaf.
The trio celebrated Ripley’s win, and Finn Balor came out for his own match against Priest, with AJ Styles accompanying him to offer some support.
It was a competitive and fun match as you’d expect between these two, albeit one without a definitive ending as Edge hit Balor with the spear to cause a disqualification, leading to a beatdown after the match.
MVP hyped up Omos’ win over Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash as Cedric Alexander tried to sneak his way into their new alliance, but he got taken out by the All Mighty once he crashed the party.
Kevin Owens found himself set for a match with Ezekiel after weeks of calling Elias’ younger brother a liar, and he brilliantly came out in a wig claiming to be his own older sibling Ken.
The match never took place, with KO instead brawling with Ezekiel before Alpha Academy joined the attack to help out Owens.
Veer Mahaan destroyed Frank Lowman in another fun squash match against a much larger opponent than he’s faced thus far.
In the second title match of the night, Theory defended his United States Championship against Cody Rhodes, who said backstage that he wanted to move on from his rivalry with Seth Freakin’ Rollins.
The Visionary had other ideas, attacking the American Nightmare out of nowhere to cause a DQ after a fantastic match – which isn’t as disappointing as it might have been considering it was the best way for this to end.
Rollins went on the attack and laid out Rhodes with a Stomp on the announce table, which surely sets the pair up for a Hell In A Cell match next month.
The new team of Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. faced Sasha Banks and Naomi in a non-title match but fell short as the Women’s Tag Team Champions got the win, and Doudrop yelled at Nikki after the bell.
Finally, The Miz was the special guest referee as Mustafa Ali got his hands on Ciampa after getting attacked from behind for two weeks, and the A-Lister was as biased as you’d expect.
This was a good way to build to Ali facing Miz soon, which should help the high-flying star build some momentum after his recent shock return.
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
