Matt Riddle has confirmed he is ‘no longer with ’.
The former Champion – who first signed for the company in 2018 and debuted on the NXT brand before getting called up to Raw in October 2020 – has been let go .
Announcing the news on X (formerly Twitter), the ex-UFC fighter wrote: ‘Just wanted to inform everyone that I’m no longer with WWE.
‘Thank you for the memories and opportunities also thank you to all the fans for the support and love you give me every time I go out to the ring. See you all soon ?’
Riddle also had tag team gold in WWE alongside Butch (AKA Pete Dunne) in NXT, before capturing the Raw Tag Team Championships twice with Randy Orton.
No reason has publicly been given for his departure from the company.
His exit comes after widespread roster cuts on Thursday which saw and Shelton Benjamin let go along with 20 other stars across Raw, SmackDown and NXT.
Also let go were the likes of Elias, Mustafa Ali, Shelton Benjamin and Emma to her husband Riddick Moss, Rick Boogs, Top Dolla, Dana Brooke and Maximum Male Models duo Mansoor and Mace.
Other names released from the company include Aliyah, Quincy Elliott, Bryson Montana, Shanky, Dabba-Kato, Ikemen Jiro and more.
Earlier this month Riddle, 37, and ‘harassed’ by an officer at JFK International Airport as he returned from WWE’s  in India in a since-deleted Instagram post.
A spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey told Metro.co.uk that ‘the matter is under investigation’ at the time, and no further update has been made.
