Jimmy Uso was taken out of Madison Square Garden on a stretcher and left the arena in an ambulance after dramatic scenes on SmackDown.
Friday night’s episode got started with a rollercoaster of emotions as Jimmy and his brother Jey came out for the trial of Roman Reigns after he got at Money In The Bank last weekend.
The Tribal Chief was taken to task by his cousins The Usos as he appeared alongside Solo Sikoa to answer to his family.
At one point, he started to break down in tears as he insisted he only behaved in a certain way over the past couple of years because he was pushed to do so to protect his loved ones.
He insisted he never wanted to take on that added responsibility and that he doesn’t the fame, fortune or pressure with five children of his own at home.
After some masterful back and forth playing up to the reactions of the MSG crowd, Roman ended up on his knees, symbolically suggesting Jey was the new Tribal Chief after tossing the Undisputed WWE Universal Title to the side.
However, it was all a ruse as he hit his cousin with a low blow, sparking a brawl as the twins fought with Roman and their brother Solo.
In the end, Jey was caught on the ropes and had to look on helplessly as Jimmy was utterly decimated at ringside.
He eventually got put through a table by Solo, left lying in a crumpled heap as Jey got laid out too, before Jimmy was shown being taken into an ambulance on a stretcher.
Commentator Michael Cole promised to keep fans updated on his condition as he was being taken to hospital as part of the storyline.
The Bloodline saga has taken another emotional and fascinating twist, with Roman once again manipulating his family before snapping and reasserting his dominance.
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
