superstar Rhea Ripley has undergone dental surgery after suffering an unfortunate injury on Raw.
The Judgement Day star – who is part of the formidable group with Damian Priest and newest member Finn Balor – won Monday’s main event in a Fatal 4 Way against Doudrop, Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan.
During the match, Ripley was legitimately hurt and has since revealed she needed surgery this week to repair the damage.
Alongside a series of photos after the procedure, she simply wrote: ‘Knee – 1. Teeth- 0. Thank you @AndersonFamilyD (sic)’
She didn’t confirm what exactly caused the injury besides it being a ‘knee’ to the face, but some fans have been pointing to a moment in the match where she appeared to catch herself in the face.
Thankfully, it doesn’t sound like Rhea will be missing any time on-screen.
Meanwhile, WWE has given a storyline update on Edge’s health after the Rated R Superstar was brutally attacked by Ripley, Priest and Balor earlier in the show.
The trio turned on the Hall of Famer and branded him a weak link stopping them from taking their careers to the next level, before sending him through a table, using a metal rod in a crossface move and cracking his heads between two chairs in a nasty con-chair-to.
On this week’s episode of The Bump, host Kayla Braxton revealed that according to WWE, he suffered a non-displaced orbital floor fracture, while no timetable was given for his return.
This injury is for storyline purposes, and with after tearing his pectoral tendon off the bone before competing at Hell In A Cell, it seems likely Edge will be back sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, Ripley’s victory on Monday night means she will compete for the Raw Women’s Championship at Money In The Bank.
On July 3, she’ll face off with the champ Bianca Belair with the gold on the line.
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1. WWE Money In The Banks airs live on the WWE Network at 1am on July 3.
