WWE star Tammy Sytch faces 25 years in prison after changing plea

WWE legend has reportedly pleaded no contest to a felony charge of DUI causing death and is said to now be facing time in prison. 

The 50-year-old made a name for herself as a wrester, making it into the sport’s Hall of Fame. 

According to , she was first served the charge back in May 2022 along with seven others and it was alleged she had Ki**ed a man, 75, while in a drunken car collision two months beforehand. 

Before the news broke, the star had pleaded not guilty to all of charges, however decided to change her pleas on Wednesday afternoon, while inside a courtroom in Volusia County. 

The star was said to have pleaded no contest to felony , according to court documents as reported by the American outlet. 

As well as her DUI plea, she was also said to have stated the same plea amid a felony charge of driving with license suspended causing death, two misdemeanour charges of DUI with damage to property and four misdemeanour counts of DUI with damage to a person.

Further stated in the court documents, Sytch’s sentencing hearing has not yet been set but the star is thought to be facing a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison when her sentence date is set. 

The sports star has been in prison since May 2022 and was sent after prosecutors claimed she collide while on the road and smashed her car into the back of another vehicle while driving on a road in Florida back in March of that same year.

Officials assigned to the case alleged at the time of the incident that she had a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.

The WWE wrestler had first received bond in the case, however was sent back to prison days later after prosecutors revealed she was too much of a danger to the community.

Sytch was also accused of drinking and driving and was arrested at least six times for obstructed use of a vehicle in the past – with one incident occurring in 2019 in New Jersey.
