fan favourite Becky Lynch has delivered a perfect response to Tony Khan’s comments about critics following an apparent ‘independent study’.

The All Elite Wrestling boss took to Twitter on Friday evening and called out social media detractors, suggesting they ‘aren’t real people’ as he got people talking before this week’s episode of Rampage.

He wrote: ‘An independent study has confirmed that much of the staunch anti-AEW online community aren’t real individuals, it’s a staff running thousands of accounts + an army of bots to signal boost them.

‘Look closely, these aren’t real people. Who’d pay for such a *wildly* expensive thing? Research this one yourselves. You internet detectives thrive in these situations.

‘Ever wonder why so much of the activity of these accounts is retweets and replies? Like who actually has 80% of their activity as straight up retweets?’

Not surprisingly, this sparked quite a reaction from fans and stars alike, and the former Raw Women’s Champion couldn’t resist having some fun at Khan’s expense.

She tweeted: ‘An independent study confirmed that much of the staunch anti – Becky in arena booers aren’t real individuals, it’s a staff running thousands of A.I. – an army of bots!

‘Look closely, these aren’t real people. Who’d pay for such a “wildly” expensive thing?’

She followed it up with some gifs of potential culprits, including Ronda Rousey, Stephanie McMahon, Trish Stratus and Beth Phoenix.

The situation between AEW and WWE has heated up over the past week, with Cody Rhodes becoming the first star to jump ship from Tony Khan’s promotion.

The American Nightmare made his, defeating Seth Rollins in a fantastic match on the first night of the doubleheader in Dallas, Texas.

Reflecting on his role as an executive vice president in AEW, he exclusively told Metro.co.uk the morning after his WWE comeback: ‘That’s not your dream. Everyone who wants to be a wrestler, the dream is putting the belt on in their underwear. That’s the dream.’
