Technically nothing from ’s showcase has L***ed, but a new claim says two games in particular – Fable and Perfect Dark – won’t show up.

With the happening this weekend, it wouldn’t be surprising for any of the big announcements to be L***ed online ahead of it.

have already been added to the Xbox store, but their codenames are indecipherable, so we don’t yet know which games will make an appearance.

However, it’s been claimed that neither the or reboots will be featured. Which is unsurprising for one and disappointing for the other.

Both games were announced in 2020 with simple teaser trailers and Microsoft hasn’t provided a real update on either of them since then.

Not too long ago, Fable studio quashed rumours that development was in trouble, assuring that everything is going fine. Although it not having anything to show after two years isn’t a good sign – especially as the game had been rumoured for many years before that.

As for Perfect Dark, its studio, , is said to have lost more than half of its staff and it’s suspected that , which was brought in to assist, will more or less take the lead on development.

That’s hardly a good look when Perfect Dark is supposed to be The Initiative’s first release.

The claims come from Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb, who mentioned it on his GrubbSnax podcast, which can be viewed on (from the 14:47 mark). He simply says that neither game is ready to be shown.

‘They could’ve shown gameplay for both of these games, but they have so many other things they need to show and they need to get out that it seems right that they are going to sideline these games in favour of other stuff,’ he says.

Grubb has proven to be a reliable source of info, having accurately shared several details for , including its name.

Last year, he said the exact same thing about Fable and Perfect Dark being absent at the , while giving away nearly every announcement that was made.

This year, however, he admits to not knowing much else and is as in the dark as everybody else. So, barring any last minute leaks, Microsoft’s announcements will get to be genuine surprises.
