Jurgen Klopp provides update on Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool

has provided an update on ’s future at Liverpool amid reported transfer interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

It is thought that this summer.

Teams from the Middle Eastern country have been on a spending spree, paying huge wages to superstar players in order to tempt them into leaving Europe.

Al-Ittihad alone have already brought in former  striker Karim Benzema, ex-Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante and Liverpool’s Fabinho.

Klopp was asked about Salah’s future following Liverpool’s 2-1 victory at Newcastle United on Sunday and it was put to him that the story ‘hadn’t gone away’.

But the Liverpool manager hinted that Al-Ittihad’s pursuit of Salah is now over as he replied: ‘For me, it has [gone away].’

Klopp and said: ‘We don’t have an offer. He’s a Liverpool player.

‘To all the things we do he is essential, he was and will be, there is nothing there. If there was something, the answer would be no.

‘In my life, I think about a problem when I have it. There’s nothing at the moment. When something comes up then I can think about it. If there would be something, there is a no.’

Salah is regarded as one of the best players in the world, registering 187 goals and 81 assists across 308 games for Liverpool and is under contract until 2025.
