boss is now minded to keep Aaron Wan-Bissaka after the defender impressed the Dutchman with his form since the turn of the year.

United looked to cash in on Wan-Bissaka last summer and again in the January transfer window, with Ten Hag favouring Diogo Dalot at right-back.

Wan-Bissaka missed the first half of the season and had to wait until 27th December for his first start of the season against .

While defensively solid, Wan-Bissaka’s long been criticised for his lack of creativity.

However, Wan-Bissaka’s made significant improvements this term and the Manchester Evening News say Ten Hag wants to keep him.

That could have implications on United’s planned move for Jeremie Frimpong.

The Bayer Leverkusen full-back had intimated he was keen on joining United in January – when Wan-Bissaka was considered surplus to requirements.

But the Dutchman may now be having second thoughts with United set to keep Wan-Bissaka.

Dalot is out of contract in 2024 but he’s in discussions over signing an extension, despite interest from Barcelona.

With Ten Hag keen on signing a centre forward, a central midfielder and a central defender, saving up to around £40m on a new right-back could be valuable ahead of a crucial summer for the club.
