But, according to , Rabiot was impressed after Ten Hag took the time to call him on Monday in a bid to convince him to move to the Theatre of Dreams.
Rabiot is said to view United as one of the biggest clubs in world football and is now open to making the move.
United are said to have agreed a fee with Juventus for the midfielder but they’re yet to discuss personal terms, which will be negotiated with Rabiot’s agent and mother Veronique.
Rabiot is seeking an improvement on the salary that he earns at Juventus, which is thought to be around £130,000-a-week.
United’s interest in Rabiot stems from the club’s failure to get a deal for Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong over the line.
Barcelona accepted a £63m fee from United over six weeks ago but the Dutchman wants to stay at the Camp Nou.
United are now scrambling to sign other targets, with three weeks left in the transfer window.
