Adrien Rabiot has rejected an offer from to extend his contract at .
The international’s previous deal in Italy was set to expire at the end of June.
Having attempted to sign him last summer,
But Juventus have now confirmed the 28-year-old has signed a one-year extension, committing to another season in Turin.
United discussed a move with Rabiot last year after agreeing a fee with Juventus only for the move to break down due to what the club felt were excessive salary demands.
The former Paris Saint-Germain star has remained of interest but Erik ten Hag will now have to look elsewhere for midfield additions.
The club have also been eager to get a deal for Mason Mount across the line but have seen three offers rejected by Chelsea for the midfielder.
United’s last offer of £50million plus £5m in add-ons remains on the table but they have no desire to meet Chelsea’s demands of £58m plus £7m in add-ons.

While Caicedo would cost considerably more than the £65m deal Chelsea are demanding for Mount, United acknowledge an £80m fee would be justified for a player of Caicedo’s potential.
United have held talks with Caicedo’s representatives amid their struggles to agree a deal for Mount.
Mount is thought to have agreed personal terms with United and is eager to link up with ten Hag’s side.
But with no agreement between the clubs, the 24-year-old is ready to report for Chelsea training and make himself available for the club’s pre-season tour to America despite the uncertainty over his future.
