legend Alessandro Del Piero has urged the club’s star forward Paulo Dybala not to move to the Premier League amid interest from and Tottenham.

Considered one of the best forwards in the world, Dybala joined Juventus in 2015 and has scored 113 goals and made 48 assists in just under 300 appearances for the Italian giants.

However, the Argentinian is out of contract at the end of the season, with Arsenal and Spurs the current favourites to land the 28-year-old’s signature.

But De Piero is not convinced a move to England would suit Dybala, comparing the forward to his international teammate who has struggled since switching from to Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

‘The more physical championships like in England and France… I think of Messi when he went to a league which was difficult from a physical point of view,’ Del Piero told .

‘In Spain and Italy, Dybala would do very well. A league like the Spanish one would help him in all respects.’

Spurs are the most likely destination for Dybala, having come very close to signing the player previously in 2019, before the deal slipped through Daniel Levy’s fingers.

They’ll be more confident this time round however, now that they have former Juventus chief Fabio Paratici as their director of football, who has already signed Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from the Turin club this season.

Del Piero would rather he stay in Italy however, suggesting a move to Inter Milan instead.

‘Lautaro [Martinez] needs a finisher behind. Dybala instead of [Edin] Dzeko,’ the Italian 2006 World Cup winner added.

‘That would be fantastic because he provides a lot of movement and play for the team. It could be good for Lautaro.’
