has revealed that he wants Olympique Lyon to re-sign Corentin Tolisso when he leaves on a free this summer.
The midfielder has recently been linked with a move to the Premier League with and especially keen to sign the French World Cup winner.
But striker Lacazette, who has just re-joined Lyon after his Gunners contract expired, wants his international and former club teammate to return to the Ligue 1 side, five years after he joined Bayern for £37.5million.
‘He’s a free player and the club could look into him,’ Lacazette said.
‘I’m pushing for him to come back. I don’t know of any other offers.’
While Tolisso has won plenty of silverware in Germany, including the treble in 2020, he has struggled to establish himself in the Bayern first team, making just 15 Bundesliga appearances in the past season.
Known for his creativity and defensive prowess, the 27-year-old would be a good fit at either the Emirates or Old Trafford, with both English clubs looking for midfield reinforcements this summer.
Arsenal are looking for an upgrade on Granit Xhaka and will need to strengthen in the central midfield position with the added Europa League fixtures next season.
United meanwhile have already lost Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard, leaving Erik ten Hag with just a couple of senior midfielders to pick from.
A deal for Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong is proving extremely tricky, given that the player isn’t keen on leaving the Nou Camp and the La Liga giants want £70m for the Dutchman, so Tolisso is a bargain alternative for the Red Devils.
Both clubs should have an edge over Lyon in regard to this transfer saga, as
