The Brazilian joined the Red Devils in an £85million deal in the dying days of the summer transfer window after handing in a transfer request at Ajax.

The 22-year-old took little time to settle at Old Trafford, scoring on his debut in a 3-1 win against Arsenal.

Antony’s impressed supporters with his work-rate and skillset, and a 25-yard stunning strike in defeat against Manchester City further displayed his eye for goal.

That strike meant Antony joined a host of United new boys in scoring in each of his first two Premier League appearances.

However, the winger is now the only United player to score in his first three Premier League appearances after his effort against Everton.

Antony slotted past Jordan Pickford to put United back on level terms after Alex Iwobi’s opener.

Cristiano Ronaldo then scored his first league goal of the season before half-time and United survived a late onslaught to earn their fourth win in five.

Antony was part of a new-look front three that included Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial but the Frenchman was replaced by Ronaldo midway through the first half when he pulled up with a back injury.

United take on Omonia in the Europa League on Thursday before hosting Newcastle United at Old Trafford in their next Premier League outing.
