Manchster United star Amad Diallo says he will be ‘back soon’ after ‘fearing the worst’ after leaving his side’s victory against Arsenal on Saturday on crutches.

The Ivory Coast winger came on at half-time when United were 2-0 up against the Gunners in New Jersey.

Diallo spent last season on loan at Sunderland and he’s been given with United in a bid to impress .

But the 20-year-old’s hopes of doing so were left in tatters when he was forced off just 11 minutes into the second half in the .

Diallo was helped off the field and he was spotted leaving the MetLife Stadium on crutches.

It sparked fears that Diallo could be set for a lengthy lay-off, which would not only be bad news for his immediate future but would also rule out any hopes of a loan deal.

However, Diallo’s eased fears that he could be set for a long spell out by confirming that he’s avoided a bad injury.

‘I feared the worst, ALHAMDOULILAH nothing serious ?? back soon Inch’ALLAH,’ wrote Diallo.

United take on Real Madrid on Friday in California, while a younger side is set to take on Wrexham 24 hours earlier.

The Red Devils kick off their season with a home game against Wolves on August 14th.
