will be without Anthony Martial for their Premier League clash against Tottenham but Christian Eriksen is set to return, Erik ten Hag has revealed.
The Dane was absent from the matchday squad for Sunday’s 0-0 draw against at Old Trafford.
United desperately missed the midfielder’s creativity in the middle of the park as they struggled to break down Eddie Howe’s men.
Eriksen was suffering with a bout of sickness, which had also affected on the day of the game.
However, while the former Ajax ace is set to face his old side, United are set to be without Martial.
The Frenchman has been limited to just one league start this season and he came off in a 2-1 win against Everton with a back injury.
Ten Hag says Martial will not make it but he’s hopeful that Eriksen will.
‘Anthony Martial is not available,’ confirmed the Dutchman.
‘[With Christian] Eriksen, we have to wait. He was just on the pitch. We have to see how he recovers from that and then we will make a decision tomorrow.’
Ten Hag also confirmed that Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Donny van de Beek will return to training this week.
Maguire has been missing with a hamstring injury, while the Dutchman hasn’t specified the nature of the injuries suffered by Van de Beek or Wan-Bissaka.
