are interested in a move for midfielder Marcel Sabitzer this summer, although they face competition from .
The 28-year-old only joined Bayern last summer from RB Leizig, but he has not been able to establish himself in the starting XI for the Bavarian giants.
The Austria international has made just seven Bundesliga starts and one in the , scoring just one goal in his 27 total appearances.
Sabitzer is under contract at Bayern until 2025, but a deal could be done for the Austrian and there are clubs interested.
German publication Bild report that Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are considering £13m bids for Sabitzer, which could be enough to tempt Bayern into a sale, as it is a similar figure to that which they paid for him last year.
The Gunners will likely be prioritising a striker in the summer, as they have been left really short up front since the January departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and could be in even worse shape if Alexandre Lacazette leaves when his contract expires at the end of the season.
However, they are tempted by making the relatively cheap signing of the experienced Austrian, who has 60 caps for his country, and is capable of playing in a wide range of positions in midfield, at no.10, centre-midfield and out wide.
There is certainly set to be some space on the wage bill to fill after Aubamayang’s exit and if Lacazette follows him out of the door, as two of the club’s highest earners at the start of the season.
