have found at least two interested parties in this summer, with Turkish sides Besiktas and Fenerbahce both keen on the winger.

The 28-year-old joined the Gunners for a in 2019 after two impressive seasons with Lille in Ligue 1.

The Ivory Coast international would play for Arsenal for three seasons, scoring 27 goals in 112 appearances, but rarely looking like a player worth anything like the price the north Londoners spent on him.

Pepe spent last season on loan back in with Nice and now back at Arsenal, the Gunners are looking to offload him as he is not in manager Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Turkish publication reports that Besiktas have already begun negotiations with Arsenal for the winger, while Fenerbahce also have him on their radar.

Pepe has one year left on his contract with Arsenal and the Gunners will be hoping for at least a small fee to recoup some of their losses, but Besiktas are reportedly hopeful that his contract will be cancelled and be available on a free transfer.

Pepe has to America, although Arteta said this was only down to an injury the Ivorian was struggling with.

Speaking in July ahead of a friendly against Manchester United, Arteta said: ‘At the moment he is recovering from an injury which is why he’s not here.

‘He had a spell on loan and obviously we wanted to get much more than we got from that loan spell.

‘We have to see when we come back, understand what the plans are and make the right decision for him.’
