Ray Parlour insists and have nothing to worry about in regards to ’s loss of form.

His comments come after the Reds’ 3-1 win at Benfica in the on Tuesday night, where goals from Ibrahima Konate, and Luis Diaz put Klopp’s side in control of the tie.

However, Salah failed to find the back of the net yet again, with the Egyptian now without a goal in open play in his last seven appearances in all competitions.

After the match, Klopp denied accusations that the 29-year-old was unhappy at being subbed off, saying: ‘Each player wants to score, and obviously with all the stories around, it’s clear Mo wants to score as well, especially in this moment but it’s all fine.’

With 28 goals in 38 club games this campaign, Salah has arguably been the best player in the world over the past 12 months, but he has also suffered much disappointment on the international stage, finishing runner-up in the African Cup of Nations and failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, where he missed a penalty in the decisive shootout against Senegal.

Many have also speculated that Salah might be distracted by ongoing contract talks between himself and the club, although reports suggest that matter is close to being resolved.

But Arsenal legend Parlour believes that this blip in form is only temporary, telling : ‘Every player has a little bit of a dip throughout the season but it’s about how quickly you come out of that dip.

‘I wouldn’t be worrying about that whatsoever with Salah. Sunday he could score two goals like that and suddenly they could win the game like that.

‘I wouldn’t worry about the little bit of the dip he’s having. I think Jurgen Klopp knows how good he is and how important he is for Liverpool so he might have a quiet word with him saying “keep going, you’re going to get your goal soon” and give that bit of confidence and belief in him again.

‘But he won’t be bothered about the way he’s playing at the moment, I’m sure.’

Klopp and Liverpool supporters will certainly be hoping that Salah re-discovers his shooting boots quickly, with the most crucial period of the Reds’ season coming up.

As well as the second leg with Benfica, they will play Manchester City at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals, but not before a potential title-deciding match at the Etihad on Sunday, which will be followed by derby games against Manchester United and Everton.
