Arsenal in talks over Premier League moves for Albert Sambi Lokonga and Auston Trusty

are in talks with Burnley over a deal for , while Sheffield United are leading the race for Auston Trusty as the Gunners look to shed some fringe players.

It has already been a busy summer in the transfer market for Arsenal, with , and arriving, with more signings not ruled out.

, but after the significant spending on their three major signings, the Gunners are looking to balance the books by moving fringe players on.

report that Burnley are in talks over a season-long loan move for Lokonga, which would see the Belgian midfielder reunite with former manager Vincent Kompany.

The pair worked together at Anderlecht before they both separately moved over to England and Kompany would love to have the 23-year-old midfielder at his disposal again.

Lokonga had already fallen out of contention last seson, spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, and with the arrival of Rice his first team prospects do not look to have improved.

United States international Trusty only joined Arsenal from Colorado Rapids last year and is yet to make an appearance for the north London club, but may well never pull on the Gunners shirt.

The 24-year-old defender spent last season on loan at Birmingham City in the Championship and impressed, making 48 appearances in all competitions and winning the supporters’ Player of the Season award.

Unsurprisingly there is interest from the Championship in him again, with Ipswich Town and Swansea City touted as possible destinations, but newly-promoted Premier League outfit Sheffield United are reportedly leading the way to sign him.
