Ansu Fati – a transfer target for Arsenal, and – has decided to leave Barcelona, according to reports.
A product of Barcelona’s academy, Fati has long been tipped for stardom and is currently his club’s and the ’s youngest ever goalscorer.
The 20-year-old has already scored 29 goals and made 10 assists in 110 club appearances, and even inherited ’s No.10 shirt, but his time with the Spanish giants appears to be over.
Though a few weeks ago, , it is now reported that the forward has had a change of heart in regards to staying at the Camp Nou and fighting for his place.
In Barcelona’s opening La Liga match of the season against Getafe last weekend, Fati was only brought off the bench with 11 minutes to go, with Xavi subbing on fellow youngsters Abde Ezzalzouli and Lamine Yamal before him.
AS Sport claim that that decision has convinced Fati that he is no longer in his manager’s plans and that he must leave in order to secure regular game time.
The Spain international is not short of suitors with many clubs across the Premier League and Europe interested, most notably the Gunners, the Red Devils and Spurs.
The latter two are in need of forward reinforcements, with United keen on another striker, especially with new signing Rasmus Hojlund out injured, and Tottenham looking at potential replacements for Harry Kane.
It was suggested that he could have moved to Wolves this summer in a deal that would see Ruben Neves move the other way but .
Fati, who can play across the forward line, has four years left on his contract and it remains to be seen what price Barcelona would be willing to accept, if any.
