star Eddie Nketiah admits it is ‘easier’ to talk to fellow striker in the squad after he left in the summer.

England captain Kane, 30, came through the youth academy at Spurs and spent 19 years at Arsenal’s fierce north London rivals before his transfer to German champions Bayern Munich last month, .

Nketiah, 24, has lauded Kane after joining up with Gareth Southgate’s side for the first time – – and the Arsenal man is hoping to learn a lot from Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer in the camp.

Asked what it was like training with Kane, Nketiah said: ‘It’s been really good. He’s a world-class striker.

‘Today was my first session, so I’m sure I will be in his ear all week trying to get tips and learning.

‘It’s a great opportunity to learn, improve myself and see what top strikers do – how they prepare for a game. I’m really looking forward to the week. He’s a great player.

‘I might have a few notes in my phone [of questions to ask Kane] – let’s see. It’s just good to be here.’

Quizzed about Kane’s summer move to Bayern, Nketiah added: ‘It makes the conversations a little bit easier, obviously, now he’s made the move over.

‘He’s a fantastic player and I wish him all the best in his new chapter.’

Nketiah has registered two goals across Arsenal’s four Premier League games this season but with fellow Gunners striker Gabriel Jesus back from injury, it may see his playing time reduced.

But Nketiah is not worried and has hailed his relationship with the Brazil international.

‘Gabriel is a fantastic player and a great guy off the pitch so we get on really well,’ he added.

‘It’s nice to be competing with him. It will only do good things for myself and for him. We both want to do the same thing and help the team. We push each other in training. It’s healthy and friendly competition. We have a good relationship and we support each other.’
