defender Aymeric Laporte believes his side’s success under is annoying .
Since 2017 City have won three Premier League titles, an and four League Cups while United have failed to add to their trophy cabinet.
Laporte thinks that City, backed up by their recent trophy haul, are now the top team in Manchester and that will be irking their city rivals.
Speaking to , he said: ‘Maybe it’s not that they’re tired of us but they don’t think it’s normal we always win.
‘If I’m not mistaken, we’ve won 11 trophies in four years (it’s 10, including two Community Shields).
‘That can annoy people, like our neighbours who haven’t won anything.’
United have endured another disappointing season. After bowing out of Europe and the domestic cups, they are now fighting for a Champions League place with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham.
Meanwhile, City, who are top of the Premier League and going strong in both the FA Cup and Champions League, still have the chance to match the treble won by Sir Alex Ferguson’s United team of 1999.
Guardiola, who joined City in 2016, has strong faith that the Citizens can scoop the top prize in all three of the competitions they remain in this season.
‘People said we could not win three domestic titles ever,’ he said. ‘It was impossible, and we did it.
‘So when it happens, another team can do it. It would not be easy but you can do it, of course.’
City, who are a point clear at the top of the Premier League, will face Liverpool in the semi-final of the FA Cup and Atletico Madrid in the quarter-final of the Champions League later this month.
