Former player Ben Foster says would never play for the club again after his , if Alex Ferguson was still in charge of the club.
Sancho was not involved in the on Sunday in the , with the Gunners scoring twice in injury time to secure a dramatic victory.
United boss cut a frustrated figure after the contest, complaining about refereeing decisions and then when asked why Sancho wasn’t even on the bench.
‘Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him,’ said Ten Hag.
‘You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game, he was not selected.’
Sancho fired back, posting an eye-catching statement on social media, which read: ‘Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
‘I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!
‘All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.
‘I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!’
Sancho now faces an extremely uncertain future at Old Trafford and Foster says that under the legendary regime of Ferguson his time at the club would be over thanks to that statement.
Foster told The United Stand: ‘It’s crazy mate, it’s absolutely crazy. If Alex Ferguson is managing in this moment in time at , and does this, he will never see the light of day again for Man United.
‘He’ll never play for this club, he’ll never be allowed in the training ground, you are done, mate.
‘I understand when players say “yeah I’d do the same thing,” that’s fantastic, you are allowed to do that if you really want to. But it’s not going to help you.
‘It’s petulant, it’s reactive, it’s emotional, it’s disrespectful, it just becomes a massive storm of news so now everybody wants to know what is up with Jadon Sancho, what is it with Ten Hag, has Ten Hag lost the dressing room?
‘Jadon Sancho says it’s nothing to do with his training and he says he’s applied himself very well in training, that’s fantastic – you should be applying yourself every week, that’s the minimum.’
