midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been involved in a car crash on the eve of his side’s Premier League fixture against Liverpool.

The Portugal international is not believed to have suffered any serious injury from the incident and is expected to take part in training with his United teammates later on Monday.

Fernandes is also in line to start for United’s trip to Anfield on Tuesday evening.

Pictures from the incident show significant damage to the passenger side of Fernandes’ left-hand drive Porsche.

Meanwhile, another vehicle involved in the incident had crashed into a small wooden fence in the front garden of a house.

Emergency crews attended the scene, while Fernandes was pictured speaking with a member of the fire service following the crash.

When asked about Fernandes after the crash, United manager Ralf Rangnick said on Monday: ‘Yes, he was training with the team obviously the accident happened on the way to Carrington.

‘As far as I know, no one was injured. He was ok and he’ll be ok for tomorrow.’

Fernandes has played a key role at United since his arrival from Sporting in a £47 million deal in 2020.

The midfielder has scored 49 goals and registered 39 assist in 120 appearances for United and has won the club’s Player of the Year award for the last two campaigns.
