There were self-inflicted injury concerns in the Brazil squad on Wednesday, with Bruno Guimaraes and both limping out of training.

It was the first full training session for the Brazilians in , but it did not go to plan for either the midfielder or the left-back who is on loan at Sevilla from .

Guimaraes, on his 25th birthday, had to receive treatment after being stepped on by Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, and while the Premier League star returned to the session, he was in pain for some time.

Telles was also on the wrong end of heavy contact from a teammate, with Neymar putting in a heavy challenge on the full-back, which caused a training match to be halted.

While both men had to receive treatment for the problems they suffered, neither issue is thought to be serious or likely to keep the men out of competitive action in Qatar.

Brazil go into the World Cup as many people’s favourites to win the tournament and get their campaign underway on Thursday 24 November against Serbia.

Neymar is confident Brazil will do well this winter, although the Paris Saint-Germain star has named four other countries he considers to be among the favourites to lift the trophy.
