head coach has told Armando Broja and which one of them will start the match against Burnley on Saturday.
The Blues duo are fighting each other for a place in the starting XI as the west Londoners look to make it three wins in a row at Turf Moor following victories over Brighton and Fulham in the Carabao Cup and respectively.
Jackson has been deployed as Pochettino’s main striker so far this term but has only registered two goals across eight games for the Blues.
The Senegal international was suspended for Chelsea’s win over Fulham last time out as Broja started in his absence and bagged a goal in the 2-0 victory.
With Jackson back from suspension and Broja having now returned from a long-term injury, Pochettino has been forced to pick between the pair for Saturday.
‘We already took the decision but they know,’ Pochettino revealed on Friday. ‘You will see tomorrow.’
Pochettino then lauded Broja in a potential hint that he will keep his starting spot this weekend, although he also admitted that the 22-year-old ‘needs time’.
‘We know now for three months, when you start to feel the player in a training session, you can feel the potential,’ Pochettino said about the Albania international, who came through Chelsea’s academy.
‘Broja has amazing potential, now it’s about how he recovers from the long period he was out.
‘He is a very talented player, we trust him, that’s why he played against Fulham and maybe tomorrow.
‘Now he needs time, to feel complete. In his body, if not in his mind also. Sometimes a long injury also impacts your mind.
‘He is in a very good mood, a very good way, he is working really hard and I hope he can improve in the next few weeks and be a player that we really trust.’
